The Wonder Girls has once again emerged as Korea’s favourite singer in 2008. Big Bang made it a 1-2 finish for WonderBang lovers with second place.
Gallup Korea did a survey from June to November on 4,330 Koreans, aged 13 to 59, on Singer you like best with the results released on 16th December.
The Wonder Girls emerged No.1 for the survey under the group category with 22.2% of votes going to them. They had also topped the survey when Gallup Korea did the same survey last year. This has made them the best-liked singers among Koreans for two consecutive years. Big Bang followed closely behind in the survey at No.2 with 21.2% of the votes while trot singer Jang Yoon Jung was 3rd with 9.9%. So Nyeo Shi Dae was 4th with 7.8% while Lee Hyori rounded up the top 5 with 6.5%. Strangely enough, apart from Lee Hyori who replaced SG Wannabe, their rankings was the same as last year.
Nobody also emerged as Song of the Year with 11.4% of votes won. Big Bang came in second with Haru Haru (9.3%). So Hot was 3rd with 5.5.%.
