Park Tae Hwan Finishes with One Gold, One Silver at Beijing Olympics 2008

Park Tae Hwan will have to make do with his gold in the 400m freestyle and silver in the 200m freestyle after failing in his bid to qualify for Sunday’s 1500m freestyle final after placing just 16th in Friday’s semi-finals. Nevertheless, he has managed to create history by winning Korea’s first swimming gold ever and he was never expected to do well in the 1500m which was considered difficult.

He will nevertheless return to Korea with many clamouring for him to enter showbiz by fans while many expect to do even better at the Olympics in London four years later, seeing what he has accomplished over the past week. Oh, there’s still a sashimi treat coming up from someone when he returns soon.
