Wonder Girls comes out top again in Gallup Korea Research Survey

Wonder Girls and their hit song, “Tell Me” has just seen them coming out tops in both “2007 Singer Choice Best 10” and “2007 Song Choice Best 10” categories respectively according to results from an online poll.

Gallup Korea had done two surveys between the period of October 23 – December 21 on 3740 netizens whose age range was between 13 – 59 years old. Results saw Wonder Girls became Korea’s Most Popular Singer in 2007 with a 28.2% total. Coming in No.2 was Big Bang, No.3 was trot singer Jang Yoon Jung, No.4 was So Nyeo Shi Dae while SG Wannabe rounded up the top 5. The results clearly showed the popularity level for entertainers below the age of 20.

Something of interest was that Wonder Girls were extremely popular with guys between the ages of 10 – 20 while Big Bang did likewise with girls between the ages of 10 – 20. Jang Yoon Jung meanwhile were most popular with people in the 50s age category.

Song of the Year went to “Tell Me” by the Wonder Girls with a total of 33.9%.  Big Bang and So Nyeo Shi Dae were placed second and third respectively with “Lies” and “Girls Generation”. The results indicated the same high popularity level for entertainers below the age of 20.

Last but not least, F.T. Island & Wonder Girl picked up the Best New Face award for the guys and girls category respectively in 2007 as well.
