It’s been revealed that Kim HyunA (16), a former member of the Wonder Girls, will move to another entertainment company. There is talk that when she gets into the other company, she will ‘stand alone’ as a solo artist.”
HyunA will move to Cube Entertainment where Mario and 2AM are currently on it’s books. A Cube Entertainment staff revealed, “It hasn’t been long since she moved. Her physical condition and health wasn’t that good in the past but it has become much better now”. With regards to her solo debut, “There are no real plans for her debut yet. She is still improving her skills through practice.”

Kim HyunA made her debut with the Wonder Girls in April 2007 with Irony. But she left the group (Yoo Bin was her replacement) due to health reasons shortly before the Wonder Girls became Nation’s Little Sisters with Tell Me.

Since she will be constantly be compared to the Wondergirls and held at the same expectations since she is/was a wondergirl. =( it’s depressing for me to think about long term.

I think like with 2AM JYPE will manage all the music related stuff and then Cube will manage everything else like promos and stuff. That seems to be how it’s working for 2AM, but I don’t really like that since 2AM is underrated because of lack of promotion or rather not the right kind of promotions.
The other company that is like a sister company that seems to be slipping everyone’s mind id BigHit. I think JLim, K.Will, Dynamic Duo are managed by them. You see a lot of collabs between JYPE and BigHit artists.

I’m glad Hyun Ah’s doing well. I sometimes still feel bad for her… being the almost Korea’s Little Sister, y’know? She could be experiencing the life as a Wonder Girl. :[ I’m glad she’s moving forward with her career though.
I kindof expected her to stay under JYPE and become the next Sun Ye though. Like… possibly in the future, I imagined her as a the leader of a new generation girl group or something. Kindof like Dana in CSJH, who debuted before CSJH, and now, she’s seen as a the leader of CSJH because she’s the sunbae.

that is NOT true. he is still in jyp staff. basically cube is under jyp. there is another company under jyp i forget what it’s called but it was created by another jyp staff.
it makes korean fans curious why she moved when that company seems to lean towards ballad….
i’m going to be straight out honest. she lacks a lot of things. let’s be honest. especially if she is going to debut as a solo ballad artist. group to solo is a huge change. when you’re a solo, you need to sing the entire song on stage….there is no break. when you’re in a group, you sing a verse or a two and plus she was a rapper and that is a lot different. i do believe that she has improved over the monthes though and she still is.
Im glad that Hyuna is doing well now…I hope and i am looking forward to her debut…even though she’s in Cube Entertainment now, CUBE and JYPE are still sister company..and i know her sisters (former bandmates ) will support her as well…
